First application in Switzerland

On 22 February 2021, the fasciotens method was used for the first time in Switzerland to close a 15 cm wide hernia. Dr. Jan Kukleta and Dr. Nicolas Clement, hernia specialists at the Hernia Centre Zurich and Dr. Dietmar Eucker, head physician at the Competence Centre for Hernia Surgery at the Cantonal Hospital Baselland (KSBL) were able to close the hernia directly.
